More Mobli momentum: Welcome Duncan!

As we head into the final stretch of 2021, we're delighted to introduce to another new member of the Mobli team: Duncan Chae joined us in November as Product Manager in our Auckland Office. Duncan will be responsible for shaping and managing our suite of mobility management products as we scale. Duncan joins us from Genesis Energy, where he was a Product Owner looking after Data Platform Products. Before that he was a Product Manager for Transport Technology and the NZ Transport Agency. He brings deep experience beyond transportation too, having been a 'product guy' in many countries and industries around the Pacific.

Duncan is a talented storyteller who can speak both Business and Technology, as well as the most important language where product is concerned: common sense. He will be a key component in helping us realize our vision for making transport more accessible for everyone. Duncan tells us "I believe good stories build good technologies. And good technologies will tell good stories for us."

Duncan's desire to shape the transportation sector for the good is long-standing. "Growing up, I remember all these moments when stuck in a traffic, literally spending hours in the motorway just waiting for something to change. I would imagine our car being a transforming robot in disguise, flying out from this gridlock, with my parents holding on to the wheel as if everything depended on it. Something didn't feel right about transport back then. And it still feels that way now. Working at Mobli lets me work to build the ways in which we can make that better."

Duncan's two young kids keeps him on his toes in Auckland, and he also enjoys writing, drawing, and the ongoing process of setting up a post-lockdown home gym.
